WATCH: Injured NXT Star Returns To The Ring Following Back Surgery

He’s working on it. There are all kinds of injuries that can keep a wrestler out of action for any length of time and some of them can be quite serious. You never want to see someone get hurt and the question becomes how long before someone can get back in the ring. That is the case with a former NXT Champion, and now he is getting ready to return to what he does rather well.

Back in November 2023, former NXT Champion Wes Lee announced that he needed back surgery and would be out of action for 8-12 months. Lee has since posted a video to Twitter, showing him stepping inside of a ring, though he is not shown doing anything physical. There is nothing to suggest that he will be back in action any sooner than previously expected.

Opinion: This is encouraging, but at the same time it is likely to be a very long time before we get to see Lee getting back in the ring. He is a talented enough star that he is worth waiting for though and hopefully we get to see what he can do when he is back to full health. That might take a long time, but for now at least he is moving forward with his recovery, which is a good start.
