Welcome back. WWE has seen countless wrestlers come and go over the years, as there have been all kinds of stars throughout its history. Their time in WWE is often the most important of their careers and can often lead to a long run outside of the company. A former WWE Superstar seemed to begin that time recently, as he made his return to the ring after leaving WWE.

Over the weekend, Elijah, formerly known as Elias and Ezekiel in WWE, made his return to the independent circuit, facing Mike Bailey in a losing effort at a Wrestling Revolver event. This was Elijah’s first match since May 23, 2023 as well as his first since being released from WWE. There is no word on when or where he will wrestle next, or if there is any indication that he will sign with a promotion.

This could go somewhere. Check out some of the return, plus Elijah in WWE:

Opinion: This is where someone can get a fresh start to their career, as fans are going to remember Elijah from his time in WWE and be interested in what he is doing now. I’m not sure how different Elijah is going to be from Elias, but at least there is more to see from him. All kinds of stars have gotten a second life after leaving WWE and that seems to be where we are going now.
