WATCH: Former WWE Champion Makes Surprise Return From Injury On SmackDown

Welcome back. Injuries are one of the worst things that can happen to any wrestler as they change everything that is going on all at once. No matter what someone might be doing, they can be completely reset with a single thing going wrong. That was the case late last year but now we have seen a WWE Superstar return in quite the moment as it was time for some revenge.

Back in November, Rey Mysterio was put out of action with a knee injury, with Santos Escobar being credited with causing the injury. This week on SmackDown, Mysterio made his return during a match between Escobar and Carlito, pretending that his knee was still injured and then attacking Escobar, allowing Carlito to win. There is no word on when Mysterio will return to the ring.

Opinion: This is where things were going for a long time now and it was a matter of when Mysterio would be back to go after Escobar rather than when. Mysterio is not likely to be in the ring that much longer and it is nice to have him back, especially with this kind of feud ready for him. I’m not sure what Mysterio is going to be doing at WrestleMania, but you can imagine something with Escobar is an option.
