WATCH: Former Champion Splits From AEW Stable On Collision

It’s over. There are all kinds of stables in wrestling today as a stable is a concept that makes quite a bit of sense. Having a group of wrestlers together with a common purpose can accomplish a lot and putting people into a stable can do quite a bit of good. At some point most stables split up though, and that seems to be the case again, at least with one member.

This week on AEW Collision, Ricky Starks defeated Powerhouse Hobbs in the semifinals of the Men’s Owen Hart Foundation tournament. The loss came after Hobbs’ QTV stablemate QT Marshall got on the apron for a distraction, allowing Starks to ram them together and hit a spear for the pin. Following the match, Hobbs shoved Marshall and Aaron Solo down before leaving on his own, seemingly leaving the stable.

It was a big change. Check out Hobbs’ match, plus more of his time in the ring:

Opinion: This is something that will probably be good or Hobbs in the end, as he has been treated as a serious threat while QTV is more about comedy and goofiness. Hobbs splitting away from them is long overdue and I’m really not sure why they were put on the same side in the first place. Let Hobbs get away from them and be himself, which should work out far better.
