He’s not happy. There are all kinds of cliffhangers in wrestling and they can often help make fans come back the next week. Finding out what is going on in a story or a match can be quite interesting and the next step in the story is often one of the best parts of the whole thing. That might be the situation again this week, as a former champion made a surprise return and he wasn’t happy.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Up Time? Former NXT Champions Reportedly Promoted To Monday Night Raw Roster

During the October 17 edition of NXT, Trick Williams was attacked by an unknown assailant, forcing him out of a #1 contenders match. The match was ultimately won by Williams’ friend Carmelo Hayes, who received his shot this week. Late in the title match, Williams, looking angry at Hayes, returned, with the distraction costing Hayes the match. Williams got in the ring and looked at Hayes but did not say or do anything before the show ended.

Opinion: This is where the next story was going to go and now we get to see where things are heading next. Williams has been built up very strong in the last few weeks and the question now is where Williams vs. Hayes is going to go. While there is still the chance of another twist, we should be in for a heck of a story from here as anyone can understand being betrayed by a friend.
