They work well together. There are certain people in wrestling who feel like they are joined together forever. Years can go by and nothing can happen between them, but as soon as they are back together again, it feels like nothing has changed. That is a special kind of relationship and it is nice to see it renewed, which was the case this week after the cameras stopped rolling.
This week’s SmackDown ended with Drew McIntyre hitting a Claymore on Sami Zayn, who took the shot for Roman Reigns. Following the show, Zayn stayed laying in the ring until Kevin Owens came out. Owens said that Zayn was too good for this, which had Zayn ready to fight. Riddle then came to the ring and told the two to hug, which they did without coming to blows to end the night. The show took place in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, near where both Owens and Zayn were born and raised.
It’s a special moment. Check out the whole ordeal (it’s a seven video playlist so press next after each one ends):
Opinion: Owens and Zayn are one of those pairings that never gets old in wrestling as they work so well together. It would not shock me in the least to see them take the Tag Team Titles from the Usos at some point in the future and that is not a bad thing. Let them do what they do best and give the fans a feel good moment that has been long overdue for everyone involved.
