That’s a special moment. There are all kinds of wrestlers but only a handful of them make a connection with the audience. Those are the ones who become the bigger stars in the industry and that is often the case due to the amount of work that they do with the fans. That was on display during a recent WWE event, as one of its biggest stars did something special for a fan.

Last weekend, WWE presented a live event in Fresno, California, with a main event featuring Cody Rhodes defeating Shinsuke Nakamura in a street fight. Following the match, Rhodes addressed the crowd and pointed out a fan holding up a sign, saying that being blind could not stop her from seeing Rhodes. This caused Rhodes to go over to the fan and hug her to end the night.

Opinion: This is one of the things that makes me love wrestling. Rhodes has probably had that same match multiple times around the live event circuit but the fan that made the sign got to experience something he will probably remember for the rest of his life. It was Rhodes acknowledging her and her alone, which is something that does not happen very often. It was an amazing moment and made Rhodes feel all that much more like a hero.
