That’s a special moment. There have been all kinds of wrestlers throughout history but only a few of them have been able to become legends in the industry. This might be due to a variety of reasons, though the most common is their in-ring work. Wrestlers who have had an amazing career are often honored once they get out of the ring, and that was the situation again this weekend.

Last weekend’s edition of AEW Collision took place in Greenville, South Carolina. After the show went off the air, CM Punk and AEW Tag Team Champions FTR brought Dennis Condrey, formerly of the Midnight Express, to the ring. Punk and FTR praised Condrey, with Punk saying the team would not exist without the Midnight Express. Condrey also spoke, saying that FTR was the best team in the world and were keeping the Midnight Express alive by using a version of their theme music. Condrey retired in 2011.
It was a very cool night. Check out the segment, plus Condrey in his day:
Opinion: This is the kind of thing that wrestling gets to do every so often and it is great to see. Condrey is someone who has not been around the wrestling industry in a long time and it is nice to see him getting to do something like this. You can tell that Punk and TR care about Condrey and certainly revere him, while Condrey seemed pleased to be there as well. It was a cool moment and doing this kind of thing is always great.
