That’s a personal touch. The wrestling world was rocked last week with the passing of Bray Wyatt. The 36 year old former World Champion was a star in WWE for the better part of ten years and did some things that almost no one else has ever approached. Since his passing, tributes have come pouring in, with many of them coming from various wrestlers. That was the case again this week with a rather personal story.

The main event of this week’s Monday Night Raw saw Becky Lynch defeat Zoey Stark in a falls count anywhere match. The match ended with Lynch putting Stark through a table, after she had put Trish Stratus through one as well. Following the show, Lynch told a story about how she had no idea how to use a table when she came up to the main roster. Wyatt taught her everything she needed to know and then helped her the day of the show. Lynch said that this was for Windham (Wyatt’s first name) and told the fans to get home safe.

This was a big one. Check out the match, the speech, and Wyatt using a table:

Opinion: It’s great to see something like this, as it is the kind of story that only the wrestlers are going to know. While fans might know all kinds of things about a wrestler, there are certain things that we are never going to know because we are on the other side of the curtain. Lynch, and several others like her, know Wyatt and was around him every day. That makes for a very different perspective and that can be very interesting to see.
