That sums it up. While most wrestlers are able to go about their careers without a ton of controversy, there are some who have various problems that are hard to avoid. It might be due to a string of problems or a single situation, but for one reason or another, there is something holding them back. One of those names made headlines this weekend, but for a rather strange reason.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: And NEW! Four New Champions Crowned Saturday, New World Champion
AEW’s Jack Perry made a surprise appearance at NJPW’s Battle In The Valley event. Perry attacked Shota Unimo, held up an armband that said “The Scapegoat” and then tore up an AEW contract. This is Perry’s first wrestling appearance since All In in August, where he was involved in a backstage altercation with CM Punk. He was suspended at the time of the incident, though his suspension was reported to have ended a few weeks ago. There is nothing to suggest that Perry has parted ways from AEW, as the company has a working agreement with NJPW. It is not clear when Perry will return to AEW TV.

Perry is a talented star. Check out what he did in AEW:
Opinion: This is an interesting way to go and while it is pretty clear that Perry is still with AEW, loaning him out to NJPW so he can maybe build up a new persona is a good idea. Perry is going to have some controversy to him whenever he comes back to AEW. Let him do something else like this to see what he can do with something fresh. Maybe that can get rid of some of the status he’ll have when he comes back to AEW.
