That’s a valid reason. There are all kinds of injuries in wrestling and some are going to be more devastating than others. Those are the injuries that will keep a wrestler out of action for a long time, though on occasion you can see a wrestler work through them. That appears to be the case again, as an AEW star has revealed that he is dealing with an injury but seems close to being over it.

Over the weekend, Will Ospreay defeated Lance Archer at New Japan Pro Wrestling Dominion to become the #1 contender for the IWGP United States Title. In a post show interview, Archer revealed that he has been dealing with a torn tricep but that “now I’m back”. Archer also slammed people who blamed bad booking for his absences, saying he only needed time to heal. The match was Archer’s tenth of the year.

Opinion: I think that would certainly count as a good reason for missing so much time from the ring. Archer is right when he says that he is a very good big man, though there is only so much that you can do when you are out of action for that long. The good thing is that he seems to be back and that should mean a lot of good things for everyone involved, as Archer is quite the monster.
