It’s another way to go. Wrestlers have a weird history when it comes to acting. There are a lot of them who are able to pull off acting outside of the wrestling world, but they are often stuck in a role that revolves around them being a wrestler or some kind of a brute. Sometimes that works out, but now a wrestler is getting a chance to try his hand in another kind of role.

AEW’s Miro has landed a role in the pilot for a new series called East New York. CBS has released a trailer for the show, which features Miro as a man who has been arrested and is asking for a lawyer. There is no word on if the show will be picked up or how frequently Miro would be appearing. Miro has been missing from AEW television since November, due to a hamstring injury and filming the pilot. There is no word on when he will be back in the ring.

He might have something here. Check out Miro’s appearance in the pilot:

Opinion: I’m not sure what kind of a future Miro has in acting but getting into a pilot for a network series is a pretty impressive start. That is a lot further than most actors get and if he has some kind of a recurring role on the series, good for him. Maybe he can get somewhere with this, though I’m sure AEW will be very glad to have him back whenever he is ready and available.

What do you think of Miro? Which AEW star would make a good actor? Let us know in the comments below.
