What a welcome return. Wrestlers have all kinds of things they have to do to make a match work, and some of them are rather difficult to pull off. Those same wrestlers have problems of their own outside of the ring though and some of them have to do with their own health. It can make for a special moment when someone overcomes those issues, and we might have seen that this week.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: It’s In: New Title Match Set For WWE Payback After Several Weeks Of Buildup
Back in February, WWE Hall Of Famer Jerry Lawler suffered a stroke in Florida. Lawler has since undergone physical therapy, though he has not returned either to television or wrestling. This week’s Monday Night Raw was held in Lawler’s hometown of Memphis, Tennessee. Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens presented Lawler to the crowd, with Lawler coming to the stage and waving. Lawler did not speak during his appearance.
This was a special moment. Check out some Lawler’s appearance and some of his better moments:
Opinion: This is the kind of thing that you do not get to see very often but in in this case it is one of the best moments you could have. Lawler has been healing up for a very long time now and it is great to have him back, even if he was just standing on the stage and waving. The fact that he is able to do that is impressive enough and hopefully he gets even better in the coming weeks and months.
What is the best part of Lawler’s career? Was he better in the ring or on commentayr? Let us know in the comments below.
