WATCH: Jeff Hardy Makes Surprise Return At AEW Dynamite

He’s back! There are all kinds of talented wrestlers on the AEW roster but with that kind of a lineup, it can be difficult to find something for everyone to do. At the end of the day though, the biggest stars are going to be presented as the most important deals. Now one of the biggest stars AEW has ever seen is back after a rather lengthy absence due to a suspension.

Jeff Hardy was suspended from AEW without pay in June 2022 after an arrest on suspicion of DUI. In February, Hardy pled no contest to all charges against him, rendering the case closed. This week, Hardy made his return to save his brother Matt, Hook and Isiah Kassidy from an attack at the hands of the Firm. There is no word on when Jeff will be making his return to the ring.

Opinion: Jeff is a huge star and the reaction that his return got proves it. He is the kind of star that you do not see very often in wrestling of any kind and AEW is lucky to have him. That being said, there is such a history of problems for Jeff that it is hard to imagine what is going to happen now that he is right back where he keeps having one issue after another. Hopefully it doesn’t all fall apart again, but that is always going to be hanging over the situation.
