He has a goal. In theory, the ultimate goal for every wrestler should be championships. With so many to pick from, there are several ways a wrestler can go, but the gold is what drives a lot of people. Last week on SmackDown, Shinsuke Nakamura wrestled his first televised match for WWE since November, defeating Madcap Moss. Following the match, WWE uploaded a video to its Youtube page, showing Nakamura saying that he was coming for the World Title. Nakamura is a former United States, Intercontinental and Tag Team Champion. He has challenged for the World Title on many occasions but has never won the championship.

Nakamura has some potential. Check out his match, his post match statement and one of his bigger matches:

Opinion: Nakamura feels like a star every time he is on WWE TV and it makes all the sense in the world for WWE to mention him in the main event scene. At the same time, even if Nakamura isn’t going to challenge for the title, having him say that he wants it is the way to go. Let Nakamura talk about it so that it feels like he has a goal, meaning he can either go after it or have to deal with someone keeping him from going after it. The statement opens doors and that is a good idea.
