The boss speaks. WWE is in a weird place at the moment as they have not stopped producing for a single week during the Coronavirus pandemic, but things have not exactly gone all that well. Their television ratings and audience have cratered and it is clear that something needs to be done. It needs to be something big too, and there is one person who can make that change.

Vince McMahon is the only person with the final say in WWE. No matter what is going on, he can change the situation in a heartbeat by merely snapping his fingers. That can make things a lot easier or a lot harder, as sometimes McMahon’s ideas might not be the best thing in the world. He has a new plan to help deal with everything going on at the moment, but it needs to work somehow.

According to Wrestling Observer Radio, the current plan for WWE is to find a way to get established stars on television in one form or another no matter what. This is seen as being more important than having stories or angles advanced for the sake of getting the viewership back up. The July 13 and July 20 Monday Night Raw’s were the lowest viewed in the show’s history.

Opinion: I’m not sure how well this is going to work, but at the end of the day, star power is what makes the audience grow faster than anything else. At the same time though, you can only do so much with the same people. This feels like another case of WWE trying to take a shortcut instead of putting in the effort and that isn’t something that is going to work in the long run.

What do you think of the plan? Will it work? Let us know in the comments below.
