That might be for the best. Vince McMahon can be accused of being a lot of things and out of touch is often one of them. Despite being the most powerful person in the history of professional wrestling, McMahon has had an idea or two which might be seen as a little bit over the top. McMahon can pick a few strange ideas and does not seem to get why they are not so popular. That was the case again this week on Monday Night Raw.

One of the more confusing stories over the last few weeks has been the rapid rise and rapid fall of Retribution. The team was introduced to WWE back in August and has only now began to come into a more distinct form. However, they have also started losing almost every match they have, and that is quit the problem in both the short and long term. WWE has been trying things with them, and now they had to be held back from trying something else.

According to Fightful Select, the original plan for this week’s eight man elimination match called for Reckoning to act like she was having a seizure, with McMahon himself pitching the idea. However, Reckoning and several others said no to the idea and McMahon eventually relented. Reckoning went on to say via Twitter that she was “possessed” and made it clear that she was not imitating a seizure as she would not fake a medical condition.

This was uh, different. Check out what wound up happening:

Opinion: I’m hoping that this is something that was shot down because a seizure is not something that anyone, including WWE, should ever be making fun of. There are some things that would be taking a storyline too far and this would cross into the line of bad taste. What Reckoning said was not exactly a great explanation, but it was better than the original idea, which thankfully never made air.

What did you think of the idea? How can Retribution be fixed? Let us know in the comments below.
