His opinion matters. Nothing happens in WWE without Vince McMahon’s approval. This may or may not be a good thing as McMahon does not have the most popular ideas from time to time but there is no denying that he is the ultimate power in WWE. Some of these changes are better than others and now he is weighing in on a potential big change in front of the camera.

The biggest story coming out of Wednesday was NXT potentially moving to Tuesdays in the future. The change would end the Wednesday Night Wars after only about a year, which would shake things up quite a bit for both NXT and AEW Dynamite. Both WWE and the USA Network seem interested in the move, but it isn’t going to matter without McMahon’s approval.

According to Wrestling Observer Radio, a meeting was held earlier this year to discuss the idea of NXT moving to another night of the week. Those in favor of the move said that the television audience and ratings would instantly go up, which is the point of putting the show on TV in the first place. McMahon shot the idea down as he did not want it to look like he was running away from a fight on Wednesday nights. There is no word on if McMahon has changed his mind since then.

It was a good show on Tuesday. Check out how the show goes unopposed:

Opinion: This doesn’t surprise me in the slightest as McMahon is the kind of person who wants to fight no matter what. At the end of the day though, I’m not sure how much shame there is in having your minor league show lose to a show featuring a variety of former WWE World Champions, including one of the biggest names of all time. Moving the shows takes away a lot of the annoyances for fans and how many people are going to care that the show moved in the end?
