It’s the most important opinion. Vince McMahon is the most powerful person in all of professional wrestling and has been for a very long time now. There have been a lot of people who have tried to come after him over the years and it hasn’t really done much damage. McMahon is still the ultimate authority in the industry, even if he might not seem to remember what he is doing at times.

With so many people on the WWE roster, both currently and all time, there are going to be some people you just forget are around. It might be due to them not being the most memorable wrestlers or maybe because they are not around very often, but it can cause some issues from time to time. What can make matters worse is when McMahon himself doesn’t seem to notice that a wrestler is around. It happens more often than you may think.

James Yun, formerly known as Jimmy Wang Yang, was a guest on Tommy Dreamer’s House of Hardcore podcast and told a story about the day he was signed to WWE for the third time. Yun had wrestled a few matches without a contract and impressed McMahon enough that he was re-signed. McMahon gave him the gimmick of Jimmy Wang Yang but during the meeting, McMahon said that he did not remember firing Yun the second time. McMahon said that he had too much on his plate to remember firing him but he had the new gimmick in mind for him. Yun would wrestle for WWE for just under four years during this stint.

It was an interesting interview. Check out what Yun said, plus some of his time as his most famous gimmick:

Opinion: This is one of those things where it is hard to imagine anyone but McMahon doing it and that may or may not be a good thing. While it is amusing to think of McMahon forgetting that he fired someone before he hired him again, the interesting point to me is that he was willing to sign someone to the company a third time. Even though Yun was not the biggest star in the company, he was around three different times, which is impressive in a way, while also showing that McMahon will give people a shot despite their star power.

Does this surprise you? Who should McMahon bring back to the company? Let us know in the comments below.
