The boss cares. There are all kinds of wrestlers in WWE but there is only one Vince McMahon. Things have changed over recent years and there are several complaints about McMahon that hold up, but there is still a certain magic to him. With so many things that McMahon can do, he can still get in a few great ideas and sometimes they work well. That might be the case again with a top WWE star.

While the actual in-ring wrestling is of course rather important, there is also the talking and promoting portion that might be even more important. At the end of the day, you can have all of the matches you want, but you need to give the fans a reason to care. That can be done in a lot of ways when you look at the wrestlers’ presentations, and McMahon himself worked on one recently.

According to PWInsider.com, McMahon was very hands on with Drew McIntyre’s new entrance involving his sword. McMahon spent a significant amount of time showing McIntyre how he wanted the posing with the sword to go in time with McIntyre’s pyro. McIntyre began using the sword the night he won the WWE Championship from Randy Orton and has carried it to the ring with him in all of his matches since.

That’s where it came rom. Check out how McIntyre got the sword:

Opinion: That’s a good sign for McIntyre as it means a lot to have McMahon himself care so much about something you are doing. McMahon is still the most powerful name in all of wrestling and that is going to be the case for a long time going forward. McIntyre is a big star and is the top good guy in all of WWE at the moment, but getting some extra attention from the boss can help things a lot.

What do you think of the sword? How long will McIntyre hold the title? Let us know in the comments below.
