VIDEO: The Wrestling World Pays Tribute To Terry Funk (There Are A Lot Of Them)

He deserved it. Earlier this week, wrestling legend Terry Funk passed away at age 79. Funk had one of the longest careers in wrestling history, starting back in 1965 and wrestling his last match in 2017. Funk was also one of the most influential wrestlers of all time and since the announcement of his passing, the wrestling world has paid tribute to Funk in all kinds of ways.

Following Funk’s passing, several wrestlers, as well as wrestling promotions, have offered tribute to him on social media. This includes wrestlers and personalities who either worked with Funk or admired him throughout his career. There are some tributes in video form, including WWE’s official tribute and a tribute that took place after this week’s AEW Collision taping. This is by no means an exhaustive selection of the tributes:

Opinion: I’m not sure what else can be said at this point. Funk is one of the true legends of wrestling and one of the most successful stars in wrestling history. He did all kinds of things in the industry and there will never be another one like him. There is no such thing as a big enough tribute to someone like him, as there is very little he did not accomplish throughout his career.
