Try something new with the character. Wrestling is like any other form of entertainment in a lot of ways. One of the biggest of them all is the fact that at some point, wrestlers need to change things up a bit. That has been the case with everyone from Hulk Hogan to Steve Austin to Heath Slater and it is never not going to be the case. Some change can be good, but it can also be bad. Another one has taken place recently, and it might get some mixed results.
There are a lot of ways to introduce a new character and one of the best is through vignettes. Just having some videos pop up with a few looks at someone new works rather well and has been used for a very long time now. Given the advent of the internet, YouTube and Twitter, this is something that can be done as well as ever before. That is the case again this week.
This is certainly different. Check out the new look for Tamina:
Tamina has posted a new video to Twitter (since deleted, but captured first) showing her inside a mental hospital where she is in a straitjacket. She spoke about how she had given ten years to WWE and nothing came of it, so now she is going to unleash a monster on everyone. Tamina last wrestled at Money In The Bank on May 10 in a losing effort against Bayley.
Opinion: I have no idea what to expect from this but I’m not sure how much success it is going to have. Tamina has not been the most well received wrestler in a long time and I’m not sure how much a different character is going to help her out. That being said, it’s not like she had much of one in the first place, aside from being able to throw a decent superkick. Maybe this can help her.
What did you think of the vignette? Will it work out for her? Let us know in the comments below.
