They have a new home. The wrestling story of the year has been the number of releases from WWE, as both the main roster and NXT have seen extensive names let go at one point or another. That is the kind of thing that can shake up the promotion in a huge way, but it also has a major impact elsewhere. Some wrestlers are going to go to other promotions and now we know where two more are winding up.
At the end of this weekend’s Impact Wrestling Knockouts Knockdown event, a video aired announcing that the IInspiration would be debuting at Bound For Glory. The team of Jessie McKay and Cassie Lee, are better known as the IIconics from WWE. The team was released earlier this year and had not appeared for a promotion since. There is no word on what they will be doing at Bound For Glory.
This should be good. Check out the announcement plus a look at the team in action:
Opinion: I never understood why WWE let these two go, especially given the rather weak women’s tag team division. The Women’s Tag Team Titles were made for a team like the IInspiration but for some reason WWE felt the need to let them go instead. I’d like to see this be a case of their loss being another company’s gain and that seems like a rather strong possibility.
What can the IInspiration do in Impact Wrestling? Who do you want to see them face? Let us know in the comments below.
