The more things turn. Wrestling is a strange place as you never can tell how things are going to go on any given night. A wrestler may do a lot of things in a single night, including changing their allegiance from good to evil or vice versa. That can make for some big moments, and if they happen to take place on the big stage, it makes things even better. That was the case at Takeover: WarGames.

This weekend’s NXT Takeover: WarGames featured the first ever women’s WarGames match. It was a big moment with a match that WWE has only presented a few times over the years. That made the women’s match all the different and something that really was a first time event. With so many wrestlers running around, there was bound to be something going on and that did wind up happening.

During this week’s Takeover: WarGames, Dakota Kai replaced Mia Yim on Team Ripley after someone attacked Yim before the event began. When it was Kai’s turn to enter the match, she instead attacked teammate Tegan Nox and crushed her knee in the door of the small cage. This comes after Kai was told that she was not good enough to be on Team Ripley, causing her to walk away from everyone else involved in the match.

It was quite the turn. Check out Kai turning on her partners:

Opinion: This was certainly quite the moment as Kai is one of the better faces in NXT but she is now becoming a more interesting character who has gone through something and has changed. I’m not sure how well it is going to go but they have set something up and that is the most important part in the beginning. If nothing else, Kai vs. Ripley, Nox and Yim are all right there and that’s a lot of stuff for Kai to take care of going forward.
