Video: Triple H Unveils NXT North American Title

Unleash the gold. There’s something cool about a new title being unveiled. It means that of course we’ll have a new champion, but also title matches, feuds, rivalries and stories about the title itself. There have been a lot of titles unveiled in WWE’s history and that total will be increased this coming weekend when the NXT North American Title is crowned for the first time. First though, we need a title belt.

And here is that belt.

Triple H reveals the new NXT North American Title: Exclusive, April 3, 2018

WWE has released a video of Triple H unveiling the new championship. The belt has a red strap and a picture of the North American continent as its centerpiece. The first champion will be crowned this coming Saturday night at NXT “Takeover: New Orleans”. This will take place in a six man ladder match consisting of Ricochet, Lars Sullivan, Killian Dain, Adam Cole, EC3 and the Velveteen Dream, all of whom were chosen by General Manager William Regal.

Here’s how Regal made his picks.

Opinion: I’m excited, mainly because I don’t know who is going to win the thing. NXT has done a great job of setting up something where any of the six wrestlers involved could pull off the win and become the first champion. That’s really hard to pull off but NXT has managed to do it very well. You’re going to see a new champion either way, and that’s what matters most.
