Are you ready? The NXT brand has become one of the most popular and successful ideas WWE has ever had. They’ve turned into a promotion that is such a different world from WWE that it has become a must see wrestling show for almost all fans. It’s a rare case of WWE nailing an idea to near perfection and things seem to just keep getting better and better every single time. Now though, things are expanding even further and we’ve got some big details.

It always helps to be able to see things, and this is a big one.

At Monday’s WWE United Kingdom Championship Tournament event in London, WWE COO Triple H announced the NXT UK brand, which will be starting up soon. Retired wrestler Johnny Saint has been named as the first General Manager and Triple H promised a women’s division and a tag team division. There were no names or dates announced, but it seems to be a full version of NXT, just like the regular American version.

Opinion: I’m rather pleased that it’s just an offshoot of NXT as it will bring in an audience with the American fans, while also opening doors to the UK audience. It’s encouraging that the new promotion is going to be more like NXT than WWE, which is quite good news for a long of wrestling fans. The United Kingdom wrestlers have been a great success in WWE and if there are even more big names over there, everything should be a lot of fun if it’s done right.

Who do you want to see in the new promotion? How big of a success could this be? Let us know in the comments below.
