It’s part of the business. The WWE is the biggest and most powerful wrestling organization in the world and that has been the case for a very long time now. Part of the reason that the company has done so well is because of how many things that they have going on at the same time. WWE does a little bit of everything and this week, they are going to be showcasing another part of their empire.

One of the more controversial divisions under the WWE umbrella is WWE Studios, which has produced several films under the WWE banner. However, these have not been the most well received films in a lot of ways, both critically and financially. It has also caused the question of why a wrestling company is making movies. That has not slowed them down though and they will be back with another one this week.

They’re back. Check out the trailer for the latest WWE Studios release, featuring Sheamus:

WWE has released a trailer for its latest release, The Buddy Game, which will be released on November 24 via On Demand. The comedy focuses on six friends who come back together after a fallout to play The Buddy Game, a mental and physical competition with a $150,000 prize. The film features former WWE Champion and current Monday Night Raw star Sheamus in a supporting role. Sheamus has acted before, most notably appearing in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out Of Their Shells as Rocksteady.

Opinion: These movies are kind of a weird idea as they rarely do very well at the box office or with critics but WWE loves the idea of being able to make movies. Maybe it is some kind of a tax write off or something but at the end of the day, there is something strange about having a wrestling company having a film division. Still though, at least they have some experience in these things and maybe this can work.
