VIDEO: Surprise Title Change Takes Place To Close NXT With Impromptu Match

First time ever. There are all kinds of titles and championships in the wrestling world and some of them can be rather prestigious. Winning such a title can be a great boost to a wrestler’s career, especially if it is the first such title win over their career. That was the case again this week, as a new champion was crowned, albeit with some slightly unfair circumstances.

The main event of this week’s edition of NXT saw Dragon Lee successfully defend the North American Title against Lexis King. Following the match, Oba Femi, the Men’s Breakout Tournament winner, came to the ring and cashed in his contract for a title match at any time. Femi went on to win the title in less than two minutes, marking his first championship of any kind in WWE.

Opinion: There is definitely something to Femi, who is a huge man with the kind of look that gets your attention no matter what. That is the kind of new star that you do not see very often in wrestling and this title win could be the first step in a very dominant career. I’m curious to see where things go and they caught me by surprise, so things are definitely off to a good start.
