That’s rather awesome. Wrestlers are a rather unique breed in that they live a lifestyle that only a handful are going to understand. It is rare to have anyone but another wrestler understand how a wrestler’s career works, which explains why wrestlers get so close. That kind of closeness was on display this weekend when a wrestler dedicated a big win to a fallen wrestler.
One of the more important moments of WWE’s Tables, Ladders And Chairs pay per view came when the Hurt Business defeated the New Day to become the new Raw Tag Team Champions. The win marked Cedric Alexander’s first Tag Team Title and Shelton Benjamin’s first Tag Team Title reign since 2003. That is quite the time between title reigns, and Benjamin had a special message about his win.
Benjamin has posted a photo to his Instagram account of himself with former WWE star Shad Gaspard. Another photo in the same post showed the phrase “4 SG”, meaning For Shad Gaspard, on Benjamin’s wrist tape from the title win. The caption says that the title win is dedicated to Gaspard, who passed away on May 17 of this year by drowning while swimming in the ocean with his son.

That’s a touching moment. Check out WWE looking at Benjamin dedicating the match to Gaspard:
Opinion: That’s a rather cool thing to see and pretty emotional as well. I don’t know how close Benjamin and Gaspard were behind the scenes but it seems that they were rather good friends if this is something Benjamin thought of seven months after Gaspard’s death. It’s great to see him do something like that and even better that WWE was willing to highlight something like this.
