How did we get here? If you’re a big time wrestling fan, you probably know the history of a lot of wrestlers. Roman Reigns used to wrestle as Leakee, Dean Ambrose was formerly known as Jon Moxley, and Seth Rollins was Tyler Black. That last name is currently on fire as the Intercontinental Champion and is now a Grand Slam Champion. It takes a long time to get there as a wrestler and WWE is looking back at his history.

It’s been a heck of a ride.

How Tyler Black became Seth Rollins: WWE Formerly Known As

WWE has released a mini documentary of Rollins talking about how he reached this point in his career. Rollins goes back to his hometown in Iowa and looks at the place where he started his independent wrestling career, plus where he went to his first WWE live event. The documentary also includes clips of various independent wrestling promotions that Rollins has worked for and photos of his time in Ring of Honor. Rollins’ time wrestling under different names is not only discussed but highlighted, which isn’t often talked about in WWE.

Rollins has been hot as of late, including on this week’s Raw.

Opinion: I could get used to watching something like this. There’s so much history outside of WWE and it’s very cool to see the wrestlers talk about what they’ve done to get here over their careers. Some of the stuff that the wrestlers have done isn’t as good as others, but it’s fascinating to see how small of a stage some of the top stars started on. Rollins certainly came from that background and it made for some very fun viewing.

What do you think of Rollins’ WWE career? How many more World Titles will he win? Let us know in the comments below.
