Gotcha? It’s Wrestlemania season, as it has always been during late March to early April, meaning it’s time to really put on the final touches as the big day approaches. There are promos to be cut, matches to be had (for momentum you see), angles to be shot and showdowns to be set up. However there’s one other thing to do around this time of year: play April Fool’s Day jokes on various wrestlers, even if they happen to be your stable mates.

It’s kind of funny.

Paige's April Fool's Day prank on Absolution

That was the case over the weekend at a “Monday Night Raw” house show. In a new video posted to WWE’s YouTube account, Paige has a new trick in mind for her Absolution teammates. At the show, Paige had Nia Jax tell Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville that Paige had missed her flight and that the two of them had to go to the ring on their own. While they didn’t exactly seem to mind, Paige ran to the ring and sprinted out between the two of them, who were surprised at the result. Their reactions, as given from ringside, are included as well.

Absolution was in action this week on “Raw”.  Check out the results here!

Opinion: Wrestling is an interesting world for something like this, as you really can pull off a lot of funny and creative stuff. I’m not sure if this was exactly side splitting stuff, but at the same time it’s not exactly a very high concept. At least they did something funny here, which wasn’t even the case on WWE.com. It’s not like WWE is incapable of doing something like this, as they once released the brackets for the famous tournament “held” in Rio de Janeiro in 1979 to crown the first ever Intercontinental Champion.
