She’s gone. While they might not be the most popular stars in the world, it’s hard to argue that the Bella Twins aren’t stars, both in the reality TV world and in professional wrestling. They have their own show and have both held women’s titles in the WWE. They could certainly go on to a variety of things and have some success, but it turns out that they’re moving on from one particular thing.

On this week’s episode of Total Bellas, Nikki Bella announced her retirement from wrestling to focus on her other business ventures. The episode, which was taped in the fall of 2018, would put her retirement in late November, which fits with her last WWE match, which took place at a house show in Italy on November 9, 2018. The retirement follows her sister Brie’s retirement, which was announced on last week’s episode.

And of course it was filmed. Check out Nikki’s retirement announcement:

Opinion: You had to know this was coming at some point, though I’d be a bit surprised if this stuck. The Bellas have been a top act in the women’s division for years now and while their time seems to have passed, it is entirely possible to see them brought back in for a one off appearance in a legends role. If nothing else, you know they’re going to be inducted into the Hall of Fame at some point in the future.
