There’s a reason for that. This week’s edition of Monday Night Raw was a special show, featuring the WWE legends returning for some special appearances. The legends dominated a good bit of the show and received quite a bit of the screen time throughout the night. That can be a good thing or a bad thing depending on your own tastes, but some of the WWE roster was unhappy.

One of the more discussed stories on Monday Night Raw over the last few months has been that of Retribution. The team debuted back in August and is finally starting to find its footing a few months later. The team has rounded into form with a feud against Ricochet, but neither were featured on this week’s television, though Ricochet did make a brief cameo. Now we know a bit more about why they were missing.

According to PWInsider.com, Ricochet and Retribution’s Slapjack were featured on Main Event rather than wrestling on Monday Night Raw. As a result, neither the team nor Ricochet were featured on the show. Retribution’s leader Mustafa Ali appeared on Raw Talk and complained about the group not being on the show. He also mentioned Drew Gulak and Akira Tozawa, who faced Ricochet and Slapjack respectively on Main Event. Ali said that WWE needed change and he is that change.

He was not happy. Check out Ali’s comments:

Opinion: I’m interested by where this is going as Ali’s statements do make sense from his perspective. Assuming WWE does something with this, comments like this would be a little bit more interesting than having Retribution appear on the show in a quick segment. I like some of what Retribution is doing and hopefully they get something out of the issue, which could make for a good opening.
