They’re in. WWE has quite the talented roster with all kinds of wrestlers from around the world. The company presents several stars who have experience and success from other promotions and it can be a big deal when one of them shows up in WWE. It can be even bigger when more of them show up at the same time, which is what we saw again this week after a long wait.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Opening: Here’s What It Takes To Be On The WWE Creative Team
The Motor City Machine Guns (Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley) made their WWE in-ring debuts this week on SmackDown, defeating Legado del Fantasma and A-Town Down Under in a triple threat match. The win puts the Guns in a #1 contenders match against DIY next week. WWE had been teasing a new team debuting for weeks and showed a video of the team signing earlier in the day. The Guns are three time TNA Tag Team Champions and both former TNA World Champions. Sabin also holds the record for most TNA X-Division Title reigns with 11.
It was a big deal. Check out the announcement and the team’s debut:
Opinion: This is something that was pretty obvious over the last few weeks, mainly because WWE wasn’t hiding what they were doing. The Guns are one of the best teams of their generation and they can more than still go in the ring. It is nice to see them getting their chance on the big stage, as it is more than long overdue. Hopefully WWE realizes what they have here and it seems they are off to a good start.
