They’re back! Earlier this year saw the end of “Lucha Underground” Season 3, which seemed like it might be the ending. That was a shame as “Lucha Underground” is a legitimate alternative wrestling product, making it something very unique in wrestling. However, all hope is not lost.

In a new video posted to its Twitter account, Lucha Underground confirms that a fourth season will be on the way in 2018. The video features Johnny Mundo (Johnny Impact/John Hennigan) saying that he’ll be getting back what belongs to him in the fourth season, meaning his Lucha Underground Title. There is no word on when the show would be taped or when it would air.

Here’s the promo:

Opinion: I’m very glad to hear this, but there are some issues that need to be taken care of. First of all, the season doesn’t need to be as long. Last season ran for over a year, which included several months with no shows. Second, there’s a good chance that they need to wrap up the bigger stories, which don’t get a lot of attention for long stretches of time. Cut out some of the fat and get back to what worked originally and this could be a heck of a season.
