It’s a family thing. There are all kinds of families throughout wrestling history and some of them have several members over multiple generations. Some of the biggest names in history have been part of a wrestling family and as a result, the later generations will occasionally pay tribute to the past. That is what we saw this week with of of the most popular stars of today.

This week at a WWE live event in Newcastle, England, Jey Uso successfully defended the Intercontinental Title against Bron Breakker. During the match, Uso performed a version of the Rock’s People’s Elbow, complete with pulling off his Yeet sleeve and doing the YEET pose before dropping the elbow. Uso has never used the move on television and he is set to defend the title against Breakker next week on Monday Night Raw.

Opinion: This is the kind of fun thing that you get to see at a live event and there is nothing wrong with Uso whipping this out. It’s something that is going to get the ans cheering and he spiced it up a bit to make it more of his own thing. That’s a fine way to go and while I don’t think he needs to use it on television, there are are worse things to do in this spot.
