Maybe they’re not done? As you might have noticed, this year’s WrestleMania 36 was not your traditional biggest show of the year. The show was held in front of no fans at the Performance Center in Orlando, Florida. That wasn’t exactly what WWE had in mind, but then again neither was the show’s card. One major match did not take place, but the wrestlers involved don’t seem to have wrapped things up yet either.

One of the biggest matches on the card was set to be Universal Champion Goldberg defending against Roman Reigns. The match was built up as both a battle of the spears and a battle between the University of Georgia and Georgia Tech, as the two were football players at the respective schools. The plans were changed due to Reigns’ issues with the Coronavirus, leaving Braun Strowman to defeat Goldberg instead. A few months later though, things could be changing again.

In a new interview with American Monster Productions, Goldberg spoke about Reigns and called him a joke. Goldberg responded to Reigns’ comments from January where he called Goldberg stupid for headbutting lockers before matches. In response, Goldberg said that the idea was to get himself into character, with the downside being that you get a concussion and lose a week off your life. There is no word on if WWE still has plans to run the match.

The match could still happen. Check out Goldberg’s comments plus what we did get between the two:

Opinion: I’m not sure how much I want to see the match but there is an idea to it. The biggest problem is that WWE loves to push Goldberg as a monster every time he comes back and it can get a little tiring. They could still have something like a battle of the spears and if the match stays short, they should be fine enough. I don’t need to see it, but it could be decent under the circumstances.

What do you think of the promo? Will the match take place? Let us know in the comments below.
