Remember me? We’re coming up on the thirtieth anniversary of Summerslam and that means there’s a lot to look back over. You’re probably familiar with the biggest matches the show has ever had (Bret Hart vs. British Bulldog, Bret vs. Owen Hart, Undertaker vs. Steve Austin and others) but there are going to be some matches that you’ll forget. That’s where WWE can step in.
It’s flashback time!
WWE has released a new List This video looking at Five Summerslam Matches You Forgot About. The list is exactly what it sounds like with five matches that aren’t as famous as others but took place at some edition of Summerslam. These mainly include more recent matches with the majority coming from the last fifteen years. The oldest match only goes back to 2003 while the most recent is from 2014.
Opinion: This wasn’t the best list in the world with a bunch of matches that aren’t exactly forgettable. Also, wouldn’t it make more sense to have something a little older than just in the second half of the show’s history? There’s a lot to look back at in thirty years and while some of these matches were either good or something you might not have thought about before, they’re not exactly at the top of the list.
