That will get people talking. There are all kinds of people in the wrestling world and some of them do not have the best reputation. Sometimes you will see a wrestler get blackballed from the industry and that could be the case for a variety of reasons. Unfortunately some of these are a lot more serious than others, though one such wrestler will be making his return to the ring soon.
Puerto Rico promotion CWA has released a video announcing that Marty Scurll will be making his debut with the company at Halloween Fan Fest on October 23 in San Juan. There is no word on what Scurll will be doing on the show. Scurll has not wrestled since February 2020 after facing allegations of a sexual encounter in the United Kingdom with an intoxicated 16 year old (the age of consent in the country) in 2015. While Scurll insisted the act was consensual, the girl described it as an assault of a child. As a result, Scurll was let go from Ring of Honor and has not been seen in wrestling since.
This isn’t exactly a fun subject. Check out the announcement and some more lighthearted wrestling:
Opinion: This is going to get some serious backlash and I would say that it is well deserved. What happened with Scurll is not something you are going to see wiped away and forgotten about and it would surprise me if this appearance actually takes place. Scurll is very talented, but there are some things that are a lot more important than wrestling, including this.
