Wait what? Back in 2014, CM Punk walked out on the WWE in a big surprise. One night he was making a marathon run in the 2014 Royal Rumble and then he was gone the next night, never to be seen in a major promotion again. Since then, Punk has been a constant question as fans have wanted to know when he might be getting back in the ring. As it turned out, he did so this weekend, though it wasn’t exactly advertised.
According to Silas Young on Twitter, CM Punk ran in at a MKE Wrestling event in West Allis, Wisconsin under a mask on Friday night in front of a crowd of about 350 people. The unnamed masked man ran in and hit a Go To Sleep before running out of the arena again. The promotion has also posted a video of the run-in on their Twitter. Other than Young’s word, which are not entirely specific, there is no proof that Punk was under the mask. There is also no word on whether or not Punk will be doing anything else with wrestling anytime soon.
Last night we held @MKE_Wrestling at the Knights of Columbus building in west allis the place was packed with 350 people. This place has had 25+ years of wrestling and is the place a lot of guys started. Guys like @ColtCabana as well as a Punk who showed up in a mask last night

Just in case though. Check out the run-in which may have been Punk:
Opinion: Well ok then. Punk is one of the more interesting names in wrestling history and maybe he just missed getting in the ring and doing something on a smaller level. Or maybe that wasn’t Punk under the mask and Young is just messing with the fans. Either way, it’s something cool to hear and that’s the kind of thing that you don’t see every day. And maybe it leads somewhere else.
Do you think it was Punk? Will he ever wrestle again? Let us know in the comments below.
