Welcome back. There are very few characters in WWE as unique as Bray Wyatt and the Fiend. Wyatt’s split personality has turned into one of the best things in WWE in a long time now and it could go on for a good while to come. The character has a lot of things going on and can be put in the ring with just about anyone at any given time. That makes for some interesting possibilities, but that list may be growing.
When Wyatt came into the WWE, he brought the Wyatt Family with him. The group of monsters would eventually grow, with Braun Strowman being added to the team. While the team has gone on to split up with only Wyatt and Strowman still in the company, their ties are still present, with Strowman defeating Wyatt in a title match at Money in the Bank. Now, things might be continuing in a different way.
This week on SmackDown, Wyatt returned with a new episode of Firefly Fun House, making his first appearance since losing to Strowman. At the end of the video, Wyatt brought back his Wyatt Family persona, saying that for he and Strowman to move forward, they had to go back in time. Wyatt used all of his old catchphrases and sayings, including “follow the buzzards” and “run”. There was no match set between Wyatt and Strowman.
Here we go again. Check out the old Wyatt’s return:
Opinion: This is another way to go, though it’s certainly an interesting one. I’m not sure if the story needs a third persona but that is the route that they are taking. This very well may be a one time only return, but I don’t particularly need to see Strowman go through two different Wyatts before getting taken out by the Fiend in the end. I understand the story, though it isn’t exactly the most thrilling.
