VIDEO: Another Ex-WWE Star Coming To Impact Wrestling

They’re still coming. One of the biggest stories of the very busy past weekend was all of the former WWE wrestlers appearing at Impact Wrestling’s Slammiversary. Several names either showed up for the first time or came back after a long time off and it was rather fascinating to see who was going to be making an appearance. The weekend is over, but the debuts certainly aren’t.

With so many names being released from their WWE contracts back in April, there was no question that a lot of wrestlers were going to be around again in the near future. Couple that with all of the names showing up from other promotions and it was going to be the biggest changeover of names that anyone had seen in a very long time. Another name seems to have found a new home as well.

This week on Impact Wrestling, a video aired announced that Brian Myers, formerly Curt Hawkins in WWE, was coming to the promotion. There was no date or information given on when Myers would be debuting. Myers is best known for his time as half of a tag team with Zack Ryder. The two won the Raw Tag Team Titles last year at WrestleMania 36, but both were released from the company in April. Myers has already commented on the video:

Opinion: Good for Myers. He was never the biggest star in WWE so it’s a good thing to see him getting another shot like this. I have no idea how long this is going to last or how successful it is going to be, but Myers getting another chance is a good thing. If nothing else, being on television can do a lot of good for his wrestling school, so maybe he benefit from this in other ways.
