Velvet Sky Not Actually Retired?

Read what I mean and what I say. Yesterday Velvet Sky announced her retirement from wrestling, effective immediately. Sky said that she wanted to take the time to pursue her degree instead of being in the ring any longer as she wanted to retire in good shape and good health. However, things seemed to have gotten a little mixed up.

According to Sky on her Twitter, she is only retiring from in-ring wrestling and not the wrestling industry in total. She will still be appearing at autograph sessions and fan conventions. Sky made it clear that she isn’t stepping away completely but will definitely be spending more time on other things.

Opinion: I’m glad that Sky will still be around, at least in some capacity. She’s a talented performer and one of the bigger deals in the history of the Knockouts division. While she might not have been the best in-ring performer, she was very charismatic and rather gorgeous, which can be quite the combination.
