Welcome to the team. With WWE being as competitive as it is, there is only so much that can be done to make yourself stand out. At some point, a wrestler has to do something that gives you a reason for WWE to believe in them enough to give them a new role. That seems to be the case again, as an NXT star has been moved up to the main roster as someone completely new.

This week on SmackDown, NXT’s Sofia Cromwell made her main roster debut as Maxxine Dupri, the sister of Max Dupri. Maxxine promised that Maximum Male Models would debut their swimwear collection next week, though that had originally been announced for this week. Maxxine had appeared as Cromwell in NXT as part of the Robert Stone Brand for the last few months, though she has yet to wrestle a match on television.

Opinion: That’s quite the upgrade for Cromwell, who thankfully hadn’t built up a big reputation for herself in the ring before being turned into someone new. This is something that could go a little somewhere for her, but at the very least it is a foot in the door. She might not even need to wrestle for the time being and that might be better for her anyway, as there is a lot to be said about someone who can talk you into believing her.

What did you think of the debut? How will the new character go? Let us know in the comments below.
