It kind of fits. There are certain wrestlers who are closely associated with certain things in their careers. It might be a theme song or a finishing maneuver or something else entirely and it is almost impossible to imagine something going any differently. That is the case with wrestlers in a promotion as well, and now one name is not going anywhere for a long time.

While he will always be best known for his time with the NWA/WCW, Ric Flair has been a WWE guy for a long time now. Save for his disastrous run with Impact Wrestling, Flair has been a WWE guy for about twenty years combined over various stints. That is quite the accomplishment, and now Flair has made it clear that he does not want to go anywhere else.

Flair has tweeted out an image of his new contract with WWE, which he has recently signed. At the moment, there is no word on how long the contract will last or if any aspect of Flair’s role with the company will change under the new deal. Flair’s contract had recently expired and he was officially a free agent, though he never made any appearances elsewhere. His current run with the company began in 2012 when he returned after a two year stint in Impact Wrestling.

Flair has been around for a long time. Check out some of his greatest moments:

Opinion: I know Flair might not do much in WWE these days, but given who he is, I have no issue with WWE keeping him around almost as a favor. He can go and make appearances here and there and that’s all he needs to do. Even if it’s close to just handing him a check for being Flair, that’s kind of acceptable given his status and what kind of a legend he really is.

What do you think of Flair? What can he do for WWE? Let us know in the comments below.
