That could be worse for Mysterio. One of the worst parts of a wrestler being injured is waiting to see how long they are going to be out. You never know how long it might be and wrestling fans do tend to like playing medical expert by trying to figure out how long someone is going to be on the shelf. This time around we might be getting some slightly better than expected news.

On Sunday at Payback, Rey Mysterio teamed with his son Dominik Mysterio to defeat Seth Rollins and Murphy in a tag team match. That is quite the win for the family, but it did not have the happiest ending as Rey tore his tricep at some point. Rey has a history of being injured and has missed a lot of time over his career due to an injury. This one might not be as bad as originally thought though.

According to F4WOnline.com, Mysterio’s injury is not a full tear of the tricep, meaning that he will not require surgery to fix the issue. It is believed that the injury will only put Mysterio out of action for about two months or perhaps even less. This is in comparison to Edge, who suffered a full tear in April and is expected to miss about eight months after undergoing surgery.

Rey is worth waiting for. Check out what he can do healthy:

Opinion: I know it isn’t quite great news to hear that someone is going to be out of action for two months but it is a heck of a lot better to not have Rey on the shelf for the better part of a year. Hopefully we get to see back in the ring sooner rather than later because at this point in his career, he is not likely to be in the ring all that much longer. It would be a shame to have him not be around, because he deserves a better sendoff.
