This week on NXT, Corey Graves returned to the commentary team, turning it into a three man booth along with Vic Joseph and Booker T. This comes amid a bigger shakeup in WWE commentary as all three major shows have seen a change. According to Wrestling Observer Radio, Graves will be part of the NXT commentary team until football season begins, when Pat McAfee will take another hiatus from WWE. There is no word on where Graves will go when McAfee leaves. Graves is still seen as the top color commentator in WWE but the company wants McAfee’s star power instead.

Opinion: This isn’t a big surprise and now we get to see just how things go. I’m not sure how well the three man booth is going to go long term in NXT but at last Graves isn’t sitting on the sidelines. It isn’t shocking that WWE is going to bring McAfee back when they can or that he is going to be leaving for his football commitments, but for now, at least WWE has a plan for the whole thing.
