Remember her? There are all kinds of stars on the WWE roster and as a result there are going to be some people who are lost in the shuffle. Meiko Satomura is set to retire on April 29 of this year, marking the end of her career after just over thirty years. Satomura had been under contract to WWE as a trainer and occasional wrestler but has not appeared since July 2024. According to Fightful Select, the backstage belief is that she will not be appearing for WWE again and it is not clear if she is still under contract to WWE whatsoever. Satomura has been wrestling on the independent circuit and in Japan.

Opinion: This isn’t the biggest surprise as there is little reason to believe that Satomura is going to return after such a long time away from WWE. Satomura is a legend but if she is ready to move back to Japan full time, there is no reason she should stay over here. It was great to see her in WWE and NXT for the time she was there, but it seems that it has officially come and gone.

What do you think of Satomura’s time in NXT? What was her best moment in the company? Let us know in the comments below.
