That’s a change. We are less than four months away from WrestleMania 41 and that means it is time to start putting the card together. The biggest story of the show will likely involve the WWE Championship, which is going to need a top level match. While it seemed we knew what that was going to be, it seems that the company’s plans have taken quite the major change.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: AJ Styles Offers Injury Update (Kind Of)
According to Fightful Select, WWE is working under the expectation that the Rock will NOT be wrestling at WrestleMania 41, though he still could appear at the show. As a result, the long expected Rock vs. Cody Rhodes match is not expected to take place. Instead, the current plan is for Rhodes to face John Cena. Rock and Rhodes appeared in a segment this week on Monday Night Raw where their issue seemed to be resolved.

Opinion: This is where things are getting interesting, especially after so many months with Rhodes vs. Rock seemingly as the next big match. For now though, Rhodes vs. Cena should be interesting and is certainly a dream match at the top level. I’m curious to see how the rest of WrestleMania goes and where Rock fits in, as this really could go in a few different directions.
