No one knows for sure on Reigns. One of the biggest wrestling stories to come out of the Coronavirus situation is the amount of wrestlers who have not been around. This might be a case of self quarantining, travel issues or simply not being comfortable with showing up to the events. There have been some big names not around as of late and we now have an update on the biggest.
Right before WrestleMania 36, news broke that Roman Reigns would not be appearing at the show due to concerns over the Coronavirus. This is not surprising given that Reigns has a history of health problems which could compromise his immune system, while also having newborn twins. WWE has gone out of their way to not mention Reigns as of late, but what is going on now?
According to Fightful.com, Reigns is in no rush to return to WWE at the moment and WWE is not blaming him for the situation. At the same time, WWE is not considering any creative plans for him going forward. Reigns is said to be making significant money from his Cameo account, with over $1000 a day coming in through the side venture. It is not clear why Reigns was edited out of various WWE videos as of late, but it might be as simple as being “out of sight, out of mind”.

Opinion: Reigns is an interesting situation as WWE knows that he is worth waiting for and you can only argue so much against a Leukemia survivor who doesn’t want to put his newborn twins in danger. If Reigns is making that much money via Cameo, he might not even need WWE’s money at the moment. Hopefully they can work things out in the future, but Reigns is hardly coming off as a bad guy in the whole situation.
